‘Green’ burials
Cynthia Beal stands in an art project made from wooden coffins — which she took to the Burning Man festival — in her store, The Natural Burial Co., in Portland, Ore., Dec. 20, 2007. Her store is the first in the United States to sell the Ecopod, a kayak-looking container made out of recycled newspaper from the United Kingdom.
