Fundraising art auction comes to Laconia June 7
Marlin Arts, a New York fine arts auction house, will bring its' collection to the Lakes Region on Saturday night, June 7. Yves Saint Laurent Dies
French fashion king Yves Saint Laurent, hailed as a 20th century cultural icon who revolutionized the way women dressed, died yesterday at the age of 72. He was born on August, 1, 1936 in the then French colony of Algeria and showed a talent for design at a very young age, as at 17 he entered a Paris fashion school, and his sketch for a cocktail dress won first prize in an annual contest.
