Charcoal sketch could draw big bucks at auction
Amesbury is known for many things, but access to fine art isn't typically one of them. Yet for a number of wealthy art collectors, the focus will be on downtown Carriagetown tomorrow. Drawing their attention will be a charcoal drawing by a summer resident of Rockport that some speculate could be worth tens of thousands of dollars, maybe more than $100,000.

Gift of art
The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art on Wednesday unveiled three artworks, donated by the AT&T foundation. The paintings, by American artists Bernard Chaet and Richard Chiriani, are on display alongside a collection of naturalistic paintings in a sampling of the museum's permanent collection.

Sculptor of HOF statue dies at 94
The man who sculpted the bronze statue at the entrance to the Pro Football Hall of Fame died Sunday in Venice, Fla., where he lived. He was 94. Jack Worthington also created 144 of the busts on display at the Hall, including ones for Thorpe, Bart Starr, Sammy Baugh, Marion Motley and Len Dawson.
