Festival of Trees and open house this Saturday
The 11th Annual Providence Seaside Hospital Foundation St. Nicholas Festival of Trees is this Saturday, and the public is invited to attend a free public open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to see the decorated trees to be auctioned off that evening.

After closing Jenicca's, owners to open art gallery
Jenicca's cafe and wine bar closed Saturday at 636 E. Market St., four years after sisters Jennifer and Rebecca Simpson opened it. Rebecca Simpson said she hopes to open a new art gallery with a room for live music in January in a vacant storefront at the East Market Lofts building at 325 E. Market. It would likely be called the East Market SAM (Scene for Art and Music) Gallery, she said.
