Union showcases journalists' work abroad
Seven students traveled to Kosovo in March to examine poverty. In June, a second group of 10 visited South Africa to focus on xenophobia and immigration. Photographs from both trips are on display through Dec. 5 at the Rotunda Gallery in the Nebraska Union.

Sheldon showcases African-American art
Art is often a reflection of the times, amplifying voices and attitudes from the era in which it was created. And the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's history is in fine form, thanks to a new exhibit opening soon at the Sheldon Museum of Art. The Sheldon will showcase 20th century African-American art from Dec. 16 to March 2, including work by a UNL graduate from the 1920s.
