Vision for a new arts center begins to come into focus
Should the organization’s ambitious plans come to fruition, the new arts campus could include a 250-seat theater, exhibition space, offices, classrooms, outdoor spaces and room for a parking lot, replacing the McFeeds building and another small house that stands on a parcel of land next door to the Blue Heron Art Center.

Tour ‘Iva W.’ Saturday at the Maritime Museum
Seventy-seven years of working boat history will be open to the public at the Deltaville Maritime Museum this Saturday, Nov. 29. The 60-foot “Iva W.” built in 1929 as a buyboat by John Wright for Captain Johnny Ward of Deltaville, and restored and converted in 1998 as a floating “Bed and Breakfast,” will be available for tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
