$100,000 mosaic by Vero Beach artist recovered in Philadelphia
Paul Pickel of Conrad Pickel Studio took a flight Monday to Philadelphia to retrieve the artwork — a rendering of the Italian saint Padre Pio — and a studio vehicle, said studio manager Apryl Moyer. Philadelphia police contacted the studio Wednesday to say the truck had been located with the mosaic still inside, she said.
