'Facing the Holocaust' brings strong emotion to the Thorne
The Cohen Center for Holocaust Studies is celebrating its 25th year at Keene State College, and to help commemorate the special occasion the Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery is holding a month-long Holocaust art exhibit. The "Facing the Holocaust" exhibit features work from three distinctive artists: Samuel Bak, Leslie Starobin and Clemens Kalischer.

Potential problems raised by statuette
Since the introduction of Europeans to the New World, the white man has undertaken a campaign of degradation aimed at Native Americans in an attempt to civilize a people they considered little more than barbarians. Members of the Keene community have raised concerns that a recent sculpture donated to Keene State College does precisely this.

Fine Arts Commission OKs Homeland Security plan at St. E's
The plan to build a 6 million-square-foot headquarters for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on the west campus of St. Elizabeths Hospital was approved by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts today, a day after D.C. Del. Eleanor Homes Norton submitted legislation to authorize major funding for the project.
