Artist Daniel E. Smith to show at The Gallery
BEAUFORT -- The Gallery will present "In Plain View," the newest solo exhibition of Savannah-based artist Daniel E. Smith. This series depicts the landscape of the Lowcountry with a fresh perspective. There will be an opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. May 10 at The Gallery. The show runs through June 14.

Jepson Center kicks off monthly music series
Savannah -- The Telfair Museum of Art will hold its music series Jepson Live from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. The monthly music series features live music at the Jepson Center for the Arts on the second Friday of each month. Admission is free to museum members and $10 for the general public. Learn the 'Magic of Watercolor'
Montana artist Jane Latus Emmert will offer two workshops on the "Magic of Watercolor" for all ability levels. The workshops will focus on painting in a free and joyful style using hot press and Yupo paper. The workshops will be offered at the Society of Bluffton Artists' Gallery, 15 Boundary St., from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Wednesday.

'Icons' exhibit presented by Somerset Art Association

Students create cubed public art
A group of students at Round Hills Elementary School are responsible for creating countless smiles, according to Chad Greevy, a board member with the Williamsport Area School District Foundation. For more than a year, the students have been working on an art cube garden, and on Tuesday before many smiling faces, the project was unveiled at a ceremony at the school.
