City Council to address museum, power line issues
Paintings and power lines are on the agenda for the Fort Dodge City Council on Monday. The paintings are in the Blanden Memorial Art Museum, but council members would like to put them on a tour of other galleries as a way to raise money. Improv comedy festival Saturday

Memorial to Lima Company
An artistic memorial honoring the lives of 23 marines from one unit, killed in Iraq, was unveiled today at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Six of those marines were from the Tri-State. The Lima Company Memorial: A Remembrance of Spirit and Choice, was created by Columbus artist Anita Miller.

Robert Telford had immediate relief from his pain when he had two herniated discs fused. He will have to wear a collar for three weeks. Sheila said he would be ready for golf in the spring but was missing hunting season. The surgery was from the front, where Sheila said they "cut his throat at 9 a.m. and he walked out of the hospital at 4:30." Glad you are on the mend.

Elvis was spotted at Cleveland Mall Saturday, in duplicate.The mall hosted Christmas in the Carolinas and featured vendors selling a variety of Christmas gifts as well as an Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, drawing contestants from all over the state.The nine competitors, along with two youth performers, dressed in Elvis attire and sang on stage.
