When Oak Park Library patrons enter the library, one of the first things they see is a display of art reproductions that depict the history of America. There is a portrait of Paul Revere before he became a hero, painted by John Singleton Copley in 1768.

Artists sought to design Lincoln hats
Springfield Rotary and the Springfield Area Arts Council are looking for local artists to help design 3-foot tall stovepipe hats as part of their “Hats Off to Mr. Lincoln” project. The project will be similar to the “Cows on Parade” exhibit and done in honor of Lincoln’s bicentennial celebration.
