Mexican masterworks in Omaha
“Pico de Orizaba, o Citlaltépetl (Orizaba Peak, or Citlaltépetl)” is on display at the Joslyn Art Museum. Diego Rivera painted it in 1906 when he was 20 years old. It dates from his period of study with José Maria Velasco and marks the beginning of Rivera’s professional artistic life.
