UConn hosts Jazz concert
Last night, jazz filled the air in von der Mehden Recital Hall as four campus groups displayed their musicianship under one name: The Jazz Combos. Each group played several songs together exhibiting musical selections ranging from classic tunes, to newly arranged pieces and original works.

Painting her place in the record book
KUALA LUMPUR: Puan Seri Catherina Lee spent eight years on a painting and it paid off with a place in the Malaysia Book of Records on Tuesday. Lee's 585.9-metre painting also broke her own record for the longest Chinese landscape painting.
