Bloomsbury streets to be people-friendly
A £6.3million plan to make Bloomsbury more pedestrian and cycling friendly has been approved. The proposals include adding tree-lined public squares with seating and spaces for public art. Pavements will be widened and extra cycle facilities installed.

Little people, big hearts
Friday, October 17, 2008, 7:11 p.m. -- Madison Smith, left, and her friend Kara Troe, both 7 and from Naperville, paint artwork Saturday to sell during an art sale at Smith's home to benefit the Naperville Area Humane Society. The girls made 31 paintings, donated three to the humane society and sold 29 for $1 each. With tips, they earned $83, all of which they donated to the humane society.

Committee is looking into art for Medford's new airport
Jackson County commissioners reviewed a proposal for architectural art in the airport a while back. The model was exciting, and the proposal had the support of many arts organizations in the community. I haven't heard any more about it. Can you tell me if the new airport will have art integrated into its design like so many other airports and public buildings around the country do?
