College art collection named after Carl Grupp
Augustana College has named its permanent art collection after long-time teacher Carl Grupp. A reception to honor Grupp is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at the college's Eide/Dalrymple Gallery, in the Center for Visual Arts. The Carl Grupp Collection is more than 5,000 objects. It includes prints by Matisse, Whistler, Goya and Homer as well as pieces by Augustana artists.
