Weather turns for fall art walk
It's as if the weather had a control panel. The heat, wind, and threat of rain all died away early Friday evening in time for the latest edition of the Hays Arts Council's Fall Gallery Walk.

Ol' Paint-er: Horse of different colors gathers artistic following
His work was accepted for a month-long gallery showing -- that is, until the curator found out the artist was a horse named Buddy. "We'd referred to Buddy simply as 'the artist' throughout the application process," said Jessica Drake, Buddy's owner.
