Restoration of the Assumption ex-voto in Birkirkara completed
The restoration of the ex-voto painting of Our Lady of the Assumption in St Mary's church, known as Il-Knisja l-Qadima, in Birkirkara, is finally complete. The restoration was an initiative of the church's parish priest, Fr Lino Azzopardi, and historian Sandro Sciberras.

Gallery Players loses its guiding light
Central Ohio theater pioneer Harold Eisenstein is being remembered for his half-century of leadership at Gallery Players and his mentorship of many emerging community talents. Eisenstein, 90, died yesterday after being hospitalized several times since May for complications from a fall and subsequent hip surgery.
