Inspirational Art Auction
Art created by people with chronic sometimes debilitating illnesses and disabilities went for big bucks this evening at theB&A Warehouse in Birmingham. It was the sixth annual ArtPartners live auction benefiting VSA arts of Alabama.

Bass-baritone Taras Kulish, opera singer and artistic director of the Green Mountain Opera Festival in Vermont will perform works by Faure, Mozart, Lysenko and Vesolovsky at Grazhda Concert Hall at 8 p.m. Volodymyr Vynnytsky, the artistic Director of Music and Art Center of Greene County will be at the piano.

SoBA to present art by Alicia Olea-Bell
The Society of Bluffton Artists will present "Earth, Sky and Sea," the artwork of Alicia Olea-Bell from today through Sept. 27. The public is invited to a reception for the artist from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the SoBA Gallery on Boundary Street in old town Bluffton. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
