Augusta Heritage Festival Kicks Off on Friday
The Augusta Heritage Festival is coming to a close this weekend with the celebration of the arts culmination in Elkins City Park and on the campus of Davis & Elkins College. Auburn gets cash to teach art in Alabama prisons
The Alabama Prison Arts and Education Project, an outreach program of Auburn University's College of Liberal Arts has received a grant of $14,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts to teach art, photography and creative writing in Alabama prisons. It is one of five grants the project has received since spring and the largest.
