Work to begin on Old Main Corridor
HUNTINGTON -- After seven years of planning, work will soon begin on the Old Main Corridor. Huntington officials opened contract bids Friday for the first phase of the project, which aims to provide a better link between Marshall University and the downtown on 4th Avenue through enhanced landscaping and lighting, bicycle lanes, public art and incentives for small-business owners.

‘Art is Ageless’ program entry deadline is July 28
Presbyterian Manor of Rolla has issued a call for entries in its 28th annual Art is Ageless juried exhibit to be held in August during Artists’ Appreciation Month. Entries of artistic works will be accepted from any area artist who is 65 years of age or older to exhibit and/or compete for an opportunity to be featured in the 2009 Art is Ageless calendar.
