Yergler crowned 2008 fair queen
VALPARAISO -- The Porter County Fair kicked off its 2008 season Thursday by crowning its official hostess in the 48th fair queen pageant. Haleigh Yergler of Kouts beat out eight other local contestants for the honor on fair preview day, just over four hours after the fairgrounds opened.
