"Sugar Creek" brings art through Uptown
The smells of kettle corn and funnel cake filled the streets on July 12 and 13 when Uptown Normal and the ISU Quad played host to the 25th annual Sugar Creek Arts Festival. "We had about 25,000 people out here at the festival this weekend," said Doug Johnson, Executive Director for the McLean County Arts Center.

After reading Ann Herron’s guest opinion on the Tooele Arts Festival in the July 8 edition of the Transcript-Bulletin called “Arts Festival shouldn’t look like a yard sale,” I have to say since Herron dislikes crafts, may I suggest she may want to open up a gallery of her own.
