Jules Belkin elected to Cleveland Film Festival board of directors
Jules Belkin has been elected to the board of the directors of the Cleveland International Film Festival , it was announced Monday. Belkin, who retired in 2005, is co-founder of the concert promotion company Belkin Productions. The company was sold to SFX in 2001.

Miss Venezuela Crowned Miss Universe
NHA TRANG, Vietnam (UPI via COMTEX) -- Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza, was crowned Miss Universe 2008 in a pageant in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam. Mendoza is a 22-year-old aspiring interior designer who also said she enjoys photography and is interested in advertising.

Clean up operations were underway today at the Saugatuck site of Festival Italiano which ended Sunday night. According to a Westport Sons of Italy official, the turnout for the 25th edition of the annual festival was very large this year partly due to the warm weather on each of the four days.
