A loving quest
The 14 paintings, maybe as much as 250 years old and each one 3 feet tall, were supposed to be Elizabeth Dickson's salvation. Lynda Dickson, an avid historian and art collector, hoped that once she researched its background and authenticated the artist, the artwork would pay for Elizabeth's college education. But things have changed.

Guardian of the Gourd
Mary Amos became enamored by the ipu when she first set eyes on the decorated gourds in 2006. She was sold on the artistic method - elaborate designs created by carving a relief into the gourd's skin; the gourd then filled with coffee that dyes it from the inside out.
